We spent Christmas at our home here in California.
When I was little we always spent Christmas in our home in Pennsylvania. We didn't travel to Idaho to see my Mom's parents or go to my Dad's that lived near by. We just had our own Christmas each year within our own home.
Kelly and I decided after Daphne was born that we would do the same. It's nice not having to travel with gifts and all the hustle and bustle of Christmas. We both really enjoy being in our own place with our little children. Of course, we welcome our parents here, but they each have so many other children that it usually is just us. Just how we like it.

A few days before Christmas we drove around to see some Christmas lights and trees. Christmas Eve we had a fun dinner with candles. The kids loved that part.
And then Christmas morning we had cinnamon rolls, opened gifts, went to church, came home, napped, and played some more. It was perfect. It may not have worked for others but for us it was awesome!

Um, apparently I have no pictures of our tree, the Santa gifts by the kids stockings, or a family shot of all of us. Eh, next year!
