How was your Thanksgiving?
Ours was fun. Really, fun!
We went to St. George to see both of our parents.
My parents live there as does my brother and my little sister Tiffanie and her husband and kids came down too.
Kelly's parents also came down for the week.
Usually when we pass through St. George we are just staying the night or don't have a lot of time there to do other things. This time though we made sure we had extra time to do a little exploring. One morning Kelly and I went for a bike ride alone, it was beautiful, and we somehow found ourselves talking like hicks the whole time and laughing our heads off. What is it about small towns that make you want to talk like a hick?
Then on Friday we were able to climb around Dixie Rock. The kids loved it. We climbed up and down and all around. Daphne seriously was not afraid and didn't want to stop. Forest was a bit more timid but still loved being outside.
Kelly and I had a funny time pretending we were rock climbers. Um, we are clearly not because our arm muscles are embarrassingly weak!

We are so glad we went and that we were able to spend time with our families and enjoy the beautiful scenery in St. George, Utah!
wow, the end.

ReplyDeleteYou had a very similar st george experience. we went on hikes everyday and we LOVED it. It never got old. It was so beautiful! So glad you had a great week with your family! Did you go to nielsons custard? If you didnt, YOU HAVE to go next time. Its sooo good. Mmmmmmm...now i want it. oh great.
Weak arm muscles? What are you talking about?! Look at you hanging from that ridiculously steep cliff...barefoot! (Or maybe that was just Kelly's photo skills making you look so dangerous.) St. George looks so fun & warm.
