I'm not quite sure how these things happen.
"These things" meaning one day you and your husband look at each other and say "lets make a baby" and then BAM your daughter turns four!
She's four, so she says the word "like" a lot, and tells you that she loves you so much and she loves her family and that you mean SO much to her. And basically she says the most adorable things that make you want to cry because you never pictured her being anything except a little baby.
But the truth is that SHE means so much to me and if I think about it for too long I will, in fact, cry like a baby.
So, with that being said lets move along.
Daphne's four and does have an opinion (who knew?!) and asked for a "kid party."
Although I am a fan of "family only" parties, it seemed that if she understood a "kid party" it must be okay to have one, right? A small one with four friends (that she picked) because she is four.
So here you have it, a 'flower-lots of colors-balloons-kids-pinata-orange cupcakes with blue flowers' type of party. All, of course, planned by Daphne.
The kids ate, played with balloons, planted their own little flower pots, hit a pinata (i helped bust it open), sang happy birthday, and ate strawberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
It was a success.
Not too crazy.
Hey Daphne, we love you!
